Expose The Writer Within And Start Article Marketing
I hold a firm belief that everybody has the skill to write articles. An unusual thing to say from someone who advertizes themselves as an article writer for hire!
There are reasons why people do not write articles themselves:
1. They don’t have time to write
2. They believe they can not write
3. They do not think article marketing works
Article marketing is one of the most influential internet marketing tools that you can make use of. I will not tell you that article distribution will make you a lot of money overnight. It doesn’t. Do not believe anyone who tells you that you can write any rehashed content and get rich instantly.
However, article marketing will get your name “out there”. It will bring targeted traffic and visitors to your website and article distribution will aid you in your quest for back links to your site.
Why do you believe that YOU can not write articles?
Can you communicate your ideas verbally?
Can you “write as you speak”?
If you answered “yes” then you are already on the first step to becoming an article marketer. It’s the truth!
Article marketing is all about communicating your knowledge. Readers do not want to read dry facts and figures. Readers seek out information to solve their problems or questions (you are reading this to answer your question!). If you can give them their answer with some personality in your writing then you are onto a winner.
Even the strictest human edited article directories do not employ the grammar police. Get yourself a good word processor with a spelling and grammar check facility and you are ready to roll.
When you “write how you speak” then your knowledge, vision, passion and personality leaks out from the page. Your article writing will effect people on a more emotional level than just reading dry facts.
Personality and passion.
When you sit down to write, let your personality and passion for your topic stand out. Internet marketing and article marketing is all about linking with people, creating a relationship with your readers.
Should you care about your spelling and punctuation?
Yes! Unless you already have a large group of readers who “know” you, shoddy spelling just suggests that you do not really care.
Should you care about the rest of the grammar?
Personally, I don’t believe so. When you write in correct English it can be uninteresting. You do not speak technically correct English. Even English people do not speak technically correct English!
That does not mean that you should take no notice of sentence structure completely. Run the grammar check before you distribute your article and make corrections where your writing needs it. Suggested replacements will not always be the right choice, so make sure that you read your article aloud and listen to how it flows.
Are you ready to let loose your writing skills?
There is no-one better able than you to write about your product or service. When you know your product you can convey that knowledge more effectively than someone who is just beginning to study it. And, that in-depth knowledge comes across more when you write how you speak – we are back to passion now!
There are no rigid rules about how to write an article. In fact, you are probably going to have your articles read more if you disregard the “rules” and do your own thing before you start.
For many people, their belief that they can’t write an article comes down to confidence. If that is you, write under a pen name and just do it. An internet marketing cliché coming up – you will not get anywhere unless you take action.
Your writing does not need to be flawless. It does need to provide value and it does need to read well. Not every article will be a hit. Then one day, your writing will be chosen by an ezine publisher and you will see the targeted traffic start to really flow!
Still don’t believe you can write? Then it is time to hire an article writer.
